Privacy Policy
Inquia answers tutoring requests and books sessions for tutoring programs and centers. This page explains, in plain language, what it stores, who can see it, and how to get it deleted.
Who runs Inquia
Inquia is built and operated by Pushkal Kumar, an independent developer in Bothell, Washington. It is not a registered company. For anything on this page (questions, exports, deletion), email pushkalku@gmail.com and you will get a reply from a person.
What data we store
For programs and centers using Inquia: your account (email, hashed password, organization name), the settings you enter (FAQs, prices, tutor names and weekly availability), and the leads, messages, and appointments that come through your inquiry page.
For families and students who send a request: the name and email you type, your message, the replies, and any session you book. Student and nonprofit tutoring programs collect only a name and email. Centers may also ask for a phone number and the student's grade.
We do not collect government IDs, payment card numbers (Stripe handles billing directly), or anything not entered through Inquia.
How we use it
• To reply to inquiries: the program's approved information and the incoming message are sent to Google's Gemini API to draft a reply. Replies pass deterministic checks; anything unapproved (a price, a discount, a link) is held for a person instead of being sent.
• To send email through Resend (replies, booking confirmations, reminders, owner notifications).
• To show the program its own leads, conversations, and schedule.
• To publish aggregate, anonymous totals on /impact (for example, total requests answered). No program, person, or message is ever named there.
We do not sell or share data for advertising, and we do not train AI models on it.
Students and minors
Inquia is meant for requests sent by parents, adult students, or high-school students through a program that has chosen to use it. It is not designed for children under 13 to use directly; for younger students, a parent should send the request. If you believe a child under 13 submitted information, email us and we will delete it.
Where data lives and who can see it
Data is stored in Supabase (managed Postgres) and the app runs on Vercel. Each organization's data is isolated with row-level security, so one program cannot read another's records. Inside a program, only that program's signed-in staff can see its leads. The developer can access the database to fix problems and answer requests.
The services involved are Supabase (storage), Vercel (hosting), Google Gemini (drafting replies), Resend (email), and Stripe (billing for paid plans only).
Keeping and deleting data
Data is kept while the program's account exists. A program can delete leads from its dashboard, and anyone can ask for deletion or an export by emailing pushkalku@gmail.com; we act on requests within 30 days. If you are a family whose request went to a program, you can also contact that program directly, since it decides how your request is handled.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, the date at the top will change and active programs will be told by email.
